4What is the Pete Collective?
In 2004 I discovered that there have been record breaking gatherings of Marias in Spain and Mohammeds in Dubai, inspired by the dumbness of it all, I decided to go for the world record myself... it seemed random, quirky & spontaneous. I was always a bit of a Pete supremacist so I set up this nefarious website to entrap my namesakes and get them to pledge allegiance to meet me & 'Give Pete a chance'. I need at least 2000 Pete's on board, so I can arrange to meet them all in one place, at the same time. It's also my aim to meet as many Pete's from as many countries as possible, you can follow my progress here.
The way I look at it, if I meet one interesting Pete a month, this year will be 12 times more interesting than it was last year... fact!

Peter Moore

A video aired yesterday on Al-Arabiya TV appeared to show one of five Britons captured in Iraq eight months ago. The man claimed to be Peter Moore. He said: "My name is Peter Moore. I have been held here for nearly eight months now."
The Foreign Office refused to name the five men, but added the video would be "greatly distressing" to their families.
Let's use our collective power of positive thought & wish our man Pete all the best & hope he & the other hostagtes get released back to their families very soon!
